Wondering what this smooth black stone is all about?
It came from a pebble beach on the north shore of Lake Superior, near where I grew up. That beach was kind of a metaphor for my life for many years. I was always trying to find a stone that fit perfectly in the palm of my hand. I was always trying to find the place where I fit – that place of contentment and peace that we all find so elusive.
It took many years of wandering many ‘beaches’ and collecting many ‘stones,’ before I found that place, in the palm of God’s hand.
Maybe you can relate. Have you found the place where you fit, a place to call home?
Most of my writing explores this theme in one way or another. I would love it if you would explore along with me. Have a look at my book page and at the devotionals posted to the right. If something here strikes you, I’d love to hear from you.

My Theme Verse:
“Let … my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.” Deut.32:2
And another favourite:
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, … encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24
